11:30 PM – Midnight: Briefing and Start in Senaru

Meet your local trekking guide in Senaru Village at approximately 601 meters above sea level.

Before starting the trek, you will have a gear check and safety briefing. After preparing your headlamp and trekking equipment, enter the Mount Rinjani National Park area around midnight and begin the ascent.

00:30 AM – 04:30 AM: Night Trekking Through the Rainforest

Begin the long night ascent through the tropical rainforest.

The trail passes several trekking posts, including:

  • Pos 1 at approximately 750 meters
  • Pos 2 Extra at approximately 1,500 meters, also known as Montong Satas
  • Pos 3, known as Mondokan Lokak

Maintain a steady trekking pace while taking short breaks at designated shelter areas. Because this is a one-day trek, the ascent requires good physical endurance.

04:30 AM – 06:00 AM: Final Ascent to Senaru Crater Rim

After passing through the forest, the trail gradually becomes more open, steep, and rocky.

Continue toward the final section of the climb as the sky begins to brighten before sunrise.

This section can be physically demanding, so maintain a controlled pace and follow your guide’s instructions.

06:00 AM – 08:30 AM: Sunrise at Senaru Crater Rim

Arrive at Senaru Crater Rim at approximately 2,641 meters around sunrise.

The descent follows the same general trail through the rainforest. Pay attention to steep dirt sections, exposed roots, and loose gravel.

Take a short rest at Pos 2 if needed before continuing toward Senaru.

Arrive back at Senaru Village in the early afternoon, completing your one-day Rinjani trekking adventure.
